I don't know what doors you have but by the TD5 they were 1-piece push-button whereas it is just possible yours are the lift-up handle type? There is no galvanising (bumper, capping etc) and the headlight surrounds have the little vents in them, I think by then the bumper had rubber end-caps as well. The side repeaters are the more oval type that were also fitted to the Freelander and Rover cars of the period like the 75. I think it was then that the fog & reverse lights were replaced with the large round ones (commonly referred to as NAS lights).
The dash had the central panel fitted but are you concerned about the interior?

Bonnet have changed if I'm right, now have the bulge, the centre grill surround trim thing is vented below the grill instead of soild. Location of filler moves, clear indicators, side repeaters on the wings. Tbh it's not worth it lol

A bigger issue for me when I bring my 1985 110 over to the states with me is the right hand drive

i reverse into work if its raining as i need to swipe my key, otherwise i jump out
as for drive ins, take a passenger
The bulge came in with the Puma, not the TD5.
On the 110 the fuel filler was at the rear pre TD5.
I have to admit it seems a lot of work to make a 1988 vehicle look like one 10-19 years younger and for what purpose?
In the first case you ask for the differences between a 1988 model & TD5 but then go on to ask about exterior differences between a 1998 model & new. Was it really the TD5 look you were going for or the current type?
At the end of the day the overall condition would be the biggest giveaway rather than small details that the average Joe wouldn't notice.
