ok, looking forward to this....Who has the most unusual accessory on their landy...heres mine....

I work at a max security psychiatric hospital in Denmark, where we still use leather straps/belts to restrain patients at the waist, wrists and ankles....recently my exhaust began to knock on the chassis due to worn supports...you've guessed it....after little thought I stole, yes Mr Plod, stole, a leather ankle strap, looks like a normal belt, 2 inches wide, 2 foot long...this I expertly threaded round the exhaust and found a way to attach to the underside of the landy...hey presto, no more knocking and its so tough being 60-70 year old leather that it doesnt burn, stretch or slip...therefore its also the oldest accessory...works perfectly.

Now its your turn, by the way, your great grandmother pushing the landy out of a ditch does not count as the oldest accessory...

Good luck, any prizes donated will be great...how do we vote??

Mark :)

The great British Pez. to be remembered along with the finest of Great British examples of contempory design.

My second entry for most unusual accessory has to be my rear side pannel insulation things I had made. they are foam covered with mock leather (matching the grey of the door cards) that stick to the sides of the van walls with velcro. they look good and double up as ground mats when camping.

I have a telescopic fishing rod rigged up for trout strapped to my bulkhead. never actually used it since putting it in. at the time I suppose I must have thought there would come a time when I would need to leap out of my defender and fish.
