now on my second new disco with in 2 months,and still have the same problems as the first one . now got the auto version se still bad fuel consumption no near the listed mpg but is better than the manual.have spoken to to other user's and some say there getting in excess of 25 to the gallon,but have noticed a trend all the ones with bad fuel consumption have had problems with turbos failing.engine sysytems fault warning keeps coming up on display and all the ones with good fuel consumption figures have had no problems with turbo or warning message coming up,main cause of engine systems fault is faulty turbo something to do with electronic waste gate sticking.my new disco broke down the same day i picked it up,it had done less than 30 miles also developed a clunk in transmission after coasting,then accelerating now asking for my money back or a new disco 3 with all the mods let u know how i get on

oh no.. those things are disgusting... get a defender with full pack if u want a luxury LR, or get an older RR. You could also look out for a good Disco from the previous models.
They are quite disturbing the new ones... hope they put the back back to normal after this cockup.

personally i love the new discovery 
The problem with them in my opinion is the same thing that happens when just about any new LR has been released, Land Rover cram all these new things in and simply havent got the ability to make it work like BMW or Toyota have. Realistically their build quality has always been a bit sketchy to put in nicely, and ramming a car so packed with electronics and new gadgets off the line was always going to spell trouble. The Discovery 1 wasnt short of its problems when that was released, and that was built using the RR parts bin and very tight purse strings, the freelander had its fair share of problems, the disco 2 didnt have quite so many but then again not all that much was new with them, certainly not much designed and built by LR anyway.
They just need a couple of years to cut their teeth and iron out the bigger problems like this guy is having. It shouldnt be required full stop of course, but hey it is british built after all.
Too much too soon, land rover running before it can walk.

We get about 24mph out of ours with a auto box, we tested a manual one and found that one got about 30mph, so maybe you just have a heavy foot? We had the warning message thing the other day too, 3 of them came up, so called up AA and they said just to turn off the engine for a min then switch it back on to reset the system and it goes away (which it did). The Air suspension also stopped working, but after the aa guy reset it it start working again. Love the car, but dont love all the problems we have had and have basicly lost confidance in it, so trying to sell it and are going to replace it with some thing else.
