Can anyone recommend a cheap source of shutz type underseal? I've done a big cleanup underneath and a lot has been blasted away, so i want to re-coat it. In the past i have used Dinitrol and Machine Mart Shutz with my compressor, but i want to do it on the cheap this time.

try a narrow boat chandlery for boat blacking or google for intertuff boat blacking, its usualy sold in 5 liter tins upwards but you wont want anything bigger,i can get 4 coats on a 60 foot boat out of 20 liters, but it may not be as cheap as machine marts shutz, used to be able to get bitumastic from countrywise stores but they have stoped doing it i think it was called buttoline bitumastic.

If you go to a motorfactor that supplies Tetrosyl products, then they should stock Tetraschutz cans which are reasonably cheap.

when i did my 2a chassis and axles etc i got 5 litres of proper chassis paint and it is very very good 2 coats of the stuff hand brushed on the chassis and 3 years on not a bit of rust or chipping its good stuff some seriously thick gloopy paint but it works i think it was about 25 or 30 quid for the tin off my friend who paints cars for a living i also got a few tins of bodyshutz for 5 quid a litre tin but i was paying what he was getting them for

Thanks, i did the motorfactors thing and git tetroschutz.

Angle grinder has bust now. Just stopped working while grinding some rust off. Do they burnt out. Are they repairable?

If it's an electric one, any electric motor can burn out, or maybe it has a thermal cut out? Let it cool and try it again, but make sure it's electrically safe first!

Did you go to Andrew Page by any chance?
