Does anyone know of a source to replace the soundproofing felt from the underside of the bonnet ('94 300)? Either cut to size or sufficient to do the job. Has anyone done away with the felt, if so has it made any difference to the engine noise?

Both me and a friend have 2.5N/A LR90's. His has the sound proofing in the engine bay and did have carpet inside. Mine however is Ex-MOD and has no such refinements. Mine is much much louder!

Part no. is AWR4148 Pad-insulation bonnet is £45.54 plus p&p from Rimmers. Rimmer Bros. - Product Price Information

Also 'Exmoor Trim' do various felts cut by the metre from the roll
