Hi Guys, I need some help. I am trying to acquire a UK Certificate of Confirmity for my Freelander 2 TD4S, 2009. I have been getting very little joy from Landrover and have been passed from department to department and have now come full circle. Does anybody have the address of the correct department that issues the COC's? I'd be grateful for any assistance as I'm at my wits end!

People that make one post then disappear without waiting for answer or advice should be dragged naked across gravel for 6 hours. Then rolled in salt and left in the desert.

This behaviour irks me slightly.
 
the FL will no doubt be getting imported into another country, you need the CoC to matriculate (import and re register onto that countries plates and system) into most other EEC countries

Not stickacellery..if its been plated/registered in another eu land it wont need a coc...only if its come from outside eurozone or never registered will it need the coc. The V5 or reg doc from the country its coming from is sufficient.

Anyway..he's never coming back to read this so..


Just wear a balaclava and shout 'death to the infidels' whilst wearing a rucsack at the DVLA and you will receive prompt and immediate attention.

yer need one for Portugal and Spain and Germany
 
Unfortunately, many EU countries are 'a little behind' with implementing the 2008 directive to accept other member's registration/conformity documents.

It's a big-cash industry online : anywhere from 150-300 euro for a bit of paper that says the car you have been driving around europe for the last 8 years is *also* acceptable in our country..

In France I'm trying to reg our FL (we moved from NL) and the local garage won't touch it for the 'cóntrole technique' without a valid COC.

Even though I have a paper in 7 languages issued by the (Dutch) authorities saying they no longer issue COCs since the EU directive... <sigh>

I love Europe and its diverse peoples; But for the civil servants who can't read...

unfortunately this thread is now over 2 years old and nearly all the people involved are dead, or don't care anymore ;)
 
i care, i have a 96 defender that needs a certificate of marticiuritrlalaltion....
ive been put onto the Heritage certificate for a specifications sheet.

for the record, if the OP had searched in the owners manual rather than on here, he would have found them on pages 221 to 223
