i have the 6 spoke 17 in alloys and they have 225/55r17 and i was wondering if i could fit a 225/65r17 tyre on them and get them on the freelander they will be approximately a 28.4" wheel
225/65/17's be on mine .. straight fit as is ..
( michelin latitude-tour )
speedo will read slightly slower .. about 6% ..
( a gps speed reading .. about on par with the speedo reading ..
( as from the factory .. the speedo reads a bit faster than actual speed
** gearing is slightly higher
rpm for a given speed a tad lower ..
steering slightly less responsive ..
i.e. a tad wider turning circle plus the flex of the higher sidewalls
