Hi everyone. Need some help. I've got 17 inch alloys on my Freelander and want to put some decent all terrain tyres on it but struggling to find any the only ones I can find are Michelin latitude cross. My tyre size is 225 55 17. Could I get away with just spacers or would I need to lift the car as well. I really don't want to have to put road tyres on or change my alloys.
TIA

it only comes up with road tyres apart from the general grabber but that even says designed for road use. I can get 225 65 17 but I guess they would catch

Welcome.

A simple search on here will produce a whole list.

Try looking for 'what tyres do you have on your Freelander' for starters.

I'm on my iPad so I'll let you do the searching.

Check out the threads in my signature as well.

They would need a lift and spacers -fitted to mine-look at my thread to see what they look like.

General Grabber AT are a good AT tyre available in standard size as well.

How easy is to lift, approx how much and wheres the best place to buy. Can your size tyre be fitted before all that without any catching need tyres asap. Also does it need spacers and if so what size. Im still quite new to the landrover game and modifying them. I also want to put a snorkel on it.

Pm sess88, cost not sure maybe some chaps on here live nr you.., cheaper to pick up some, smaller wheels maybe , tyres direct do modular and tyre packages, I've just bought a 5 set my self in 16s

All your questions have been asked before.

My tyres will not fit without a lift or spacers. They will catch somewhere.

SES88 is a user on here and sells one of the best lift kits you can buy. It is 40mm.

There are several threads on here describing the work that needs to be done.

My spacers are 30mm hub centric ones from H&R. Cost more than the lift kit!

I'm not aware of anybody having a 'working' snorkel. They don't appear to be water tight. The ones you generally see are more decorative than anything else. Getting hold of parts like this is getting increasingly difficult but not impossible if you have deep pockets.

My Freelander can wade through about 750mm of water, as I have raised breathers. When going through that depth of water it feels interesting!

I know I'm a pain keep asking like I've said I'm new to all this. I've found some spacers from a local company near me in Derby. Where are the instructions for the lift as I cant seem to find it.
I've pm'd ses88 about the lift kit, so now just got to wait and hear from him.
I'm very grateful for all the help you've all provide.
Epicuser the tyres you've got on are the ones I would like.

Will reply to your PM in a bit, I have an "aero" snorkel, rally type, made by RealBeale on here, its for sale, let me know if you'd like a price on that too... You'd need to make your own pipework and so on for it, its literally the external part, no templates or anything included!
