My restoration project (Range Rover Classic 3.5 V8) is finally done!

Now all I have to do is replace the perished BFGoodrich tyres that are there.

They worked well enough to give it a quick drive after fixing the engine, but I wouldn't trust them to do anymore than that, judging by the splits running down the sidewalls and the lack of treads.

The worst conditions the Rangie will see will be a wee bit of snow, so I don't need massive chunky tyres, but I would like something that will give me grip if I need it.

Any recommendations ?

I knew that I was going to need some new tyres on the back of my P38 so read everything on here about them over the last few months. I ended up getting some of the new General Grabbers. So far I'm impressed. I've only used them on tarmac but they seem as good as the Scorpions (the old, good ones) that I've got on the front. I'll know a bit more after I've been up round Perth later this week but that will only be forest tracks. As for snow, I'm hopeful but won't know till after the winter.

255 / 55 / 18 - my best price was £159 each, from Etyres, on line, fitted at home on a Saturday morning.
