Hi adamikey,

I would advise against buying those tyres - they are most unsuitable for a Freelander.

Not going off-road is nothing to do with it.

They are heavy duty commercial tyres designed for an axle load of up to 1.9 tonnes - ideal for a Transit or Sprinter pick-up style of truck, with twin rear tyres. My 2.8 tonne gross Sprinter van does not even have have tyres that strong.

You do not absolutely need to have 4X4 tyres - car tyres will do at a push - but not commercial tyres.

Singvogel.

Ooooooo stroppy noob

If you'd botheed to do even a cursory search you'd know that changing anything other than all four tyres is asking for a whole heap of trouble.....

But then I'm just a knobhead so what would I know :p

Some really good freds here about tyres, selecting the right ones is essential to the health of your transmission. Also, if you haven't got a thick skin I suggest you grow one fast. Landyzone has the best knowlege but also the best banter, you best get used to it :).

Any complaints talk to the dog:D

you do not have to put all four new ones on at once as long as you put the newer ones on the back

I keep saying that but no one listens!!! Should say bigger ones on the back tho cos if a different brand they may actually be smaller than the existing part worns! Just need to stand em side by side to figure it out:)
