Hello all

This is my first post to the forum

I'm back in the Landy world after selling my classic RR 10 years ago.

I've just picked up a Disco 2 and want to do a bit of greenlaning
It came with a v nice set of road tyres on alloy 18s

My question is

Can I just swap them for a set of knoblies on steel 16s when I play in the dirt ?

Old, nackered 'n broke, but the Landy is fine . :)

Yes, so long as the steel wheels you get are to suit a D2/P38 .. they are NOT the same as Disco1/Defender in a number of ways.

I believe the largest tyres you can fit to a standard D2 is 245/75 16 or 255/70 16 as I am looking to do the same and do not want a 2" lift kit. Mine presently has 255/55 18 but you do not have much choice in off road tyres in this size and they are rather expensive.
