I,ve recently bought second hand a set of 4 wheels and tyres for my series 3, the tyres have snow studs in them. Does anyone know if they are road legal, I suspect not, I have started to take them out should the holes left be plugged with anything. Any ideas anyone ??????????

Under 12mm (IIRC) legal but
A: difficult to check
B: Plod generally doesn't have a clue ( but will probably give you a producer anyway
c: As tyre rolls contact patch expands and depands (impands??) (wiki this ) tyre may pinch tube.
d: unless they're not through to interior of tyre (just into outer carcass) in which case, run them ,keep an eye open and hope this weekend is okay where you are (forecast for up here means I may have to put on long trousers for a few days!).
