Hypothetical question:

Is there a limit on how big a tyre you can put on for legal road use? Obviously you are always limited by clearances etc

48" tyres

dont know the random in the corner of the photo. But are they road legal? If you couldnt stop in time you wouldnt go into the back of somone. you would go over the top of them!

The Disco you see in the extreme left if that photo is used by that business to tow a trailer to shows.

If I remember rightly, the only restriction is that the tires are not allowed to extend beyond the arches (Hence fitting wider arches). I don't think its an MOT failure, but plod will give you 3 points for it.

Yes the monsters are technically road legal. If you see one come up behind you put your foot down and get the hell out of there.

The first bad crash involving one will see rhetoric law change I'm sure.

Would you ever need to - I can't imagine it being stuck for very long - although he did have another one at the LRO show....

As has been said as long as they are in the arches, it meets manufacturers or sva requirements and they don't foul anything (I imagine the lock is pretty poor on that!) then there is no reason why they wouldn't be legal...

The other restriction is that they must be spelt correctly
