Hi people :)

ok, so while just generally checking my car over yesterday before i went on a trip down to Uckfield i wanted to check the tyre pressures. Now, I have Hurricane alloys with Goodyear Wrangler HP - 255/60 R18 tyres. The manual only covers 255/55 R18 & 255/65 R16 and it says they should both be inflated to 28 at the front and 38 at the rear.

Will these pressures be ok for tyres I have?? When I checked the pressures they were at 32 for the front and the rears were at 35 (tyres were cold when I checked them). I deflated them to the recommended pressures but in my opinion they look as though they bulge a little bit too much at the bottom now as though they are under-inflated.

Anyone have any advice??

Thanks

I think you'll probably be fine at the pressures stated - i.e. 28/38.

As for bulging, I've had tyres on cars that look as though they are almost flat sometimes, but when checked they are the right pressure. I don't know why some tyres do this, but as long as they are holding air, the "flat" look is just something that you learn to live with!
