Hi everyone,I wonder if anybody could throw some light on a problem i have with my freelandertd4 es 2002,i have had this car for about eighteen months trouble free,Last week i changed the 2 rear tyres because i had two sidewall punctures, ever since then i have been getting a lot of tyre noise and slight vibration, the tyres fitted are not 4x4 tyres i have been told, but are car tyres, could this be the problem????The tyres are goodyear 215/65h16s.

hello and welcome are your tyres new or used ones are they on your wheels or did they come with wheels

hi,the tyres are brand new replacements 2 weeks ago fitted by kwikfit i have been back once and they told me they needed re balancing but this has still not altered the problem.

could be a number of thing but i have heard that the cheap kwikfit tyres do make a lot of road noise

i don't think there is much you can do about noise from the tyres, balancing could get rid of the vibration but not noise. about the only thing you could try is to alter tyre pressure by a couple of pounds up or down.
