Hi, can anyone help me please. I have a Freelander 2.5 V6 I had the back 2 tyres replaced yesterday. The car was in good working order when it went into the garage but since having the tyres changed it sounds like the exhaust is blowing and sort of rumbling underneath (exhaust has been checked no issues there). I went straight back to the garage who told me that because the back wheels had more tread on them than the front wheels, the wheels are all turning at different speeds and it is the transfer box that is making the noise. He then says only way to stop it is to get front tyres replaced also. Is this correct or is he scamming a lady driver. Please help as need to get this sorted out asap.
