Hi all,

My "Alexandria" came with BF mud boots (as seen in the picci). I have a friendly Quik Fit in Chichester that, for the cost of a couple of beers, will change boots for me while I wait.

I am keen to receive recommendations on what boots on wheels to purchase for everyday use (including some greenlaning and offroading).

Over to you...

Hi there my 90 (F reg) has 205/16 AT's, these do me just fine as good steering lock and can get me out of the field when i have to take water up to the horses (not real up to skirts deep but deep enough for a normal van tyre to struggle), also good for road as not that much noise.

I'd put tyres on if I were you, the laces on the boots may come undone and you could have a very nasty accident.

BF's are widely regarded as the best - but pricey! I had a set of General Grabber AT2's on my P38 and was very impressed all round. About half the price of the BF's. Good on-road, no noticeable increase in road noise over the old road tyres and worked well in the mud too. Never did anything serious in those tyres as I sold it before getting it back onto something really serious, so can't comment on really rough stuff, but reviews I've seen have been favourable.

Cheers Matt.
My ideal would be a set of ATs for normal use and a set of stonking mud tyres for some of the sites I intend to visit but, at the moment, I have only one set of wheels. Given that I will, 99% of the time, only use the vehicle for off-roading once or twice a month, I will probably stick (pardon the pun) to mud tyres. The question is, which ones?

Sorry - missed that bit! I'm pretty sure GG do MT's as well. I think I bought mine from Paddocks - excellent service and a good price. Check out the website or Landy mags.
