just wonder if anyone has had similar , on Wednesday went to pick daughter up from uni and on the why back travelling down the a3 the battery light came on , carried on driving until one by one every thing failed. And came to a halt at the side of the road, called breakdown and they turned up jump stared me but when they checked the battery whilst running only getting 11.8 v so no charge coming from alternator. Got car recovered to garage and they tested the battery and alternator and said alternator was not giving out any charge. they replace alternator with new bosh alternator . tested after and alternator was giving out 14,49v when running so picked up car and gave it a quick 20m run to recharge the battery, which was reading 13.5 when car was switched of. Took the car on another run today and about 70miles later the battery light comes up again luckily I was only a few miles away from the garage when straight down there and the checked the alternator , which had failed , no voltage what so ever. they have said they will replace the alternator free of charge as it appears to have failed for no reason's ,did have a side light bulb warning come up after the alternator failed . I took this out replaced bulb and all is well with the light. any one else had some thing similar if so is there any thing obvious I am missing or have I just been very unlucky ps forgot to mention I have a range rover 2005 vogue td6
