Hi, I need a bracket to fit a second alternator to my Range Rover Classic 3.5 EFI V8. The air conditioning compressor has already been removed and I have a 65amp alternator ready to fit and wire to a second battery.

I have found a fitting bracket here… http://www.gwynlewis4x4.co.uk/page80.html but its for the 300tdi. I called the shop to ask if this would fit a 3.5 EFI V8 engine but the person I spoke to didn’t know. He took my name and number and said he would ask someone who may know the answer to call me back on Monday.

In the mean time, does anyone on here know if it would fit? If it wont bolt straight on, do you know if it will go on with a little modification (I don’t mind modifying it slightly if required as it saves me making one up from scratch).

Thanks

did you sort this

what your asking is are both air conpressers the same

as then it'll fit?

Anything come of this? Long time I know, but I dont want to spend 75 quid plus on an old mount that doesnt fit my 3.5 efi v8, much less shell out a ton for a new one that likewise does not etc.
I could fab one up, but :
a) I have had bad times with poorly aligned alts in the past, and
b) I am crushingly, extensively, bone idle
