Hi All,

I'm wanting to buy a P38 RR diesel but, I really want one with the dual headrest screens in the back. Unfortunately, they seem to be like rocking horse **** and when I do find one with a diesel lump, they're out of my price range. How easy(or not, as may be the case) is it to retro-fit this extra? and how would this best be done? Donor car and strip the necessary bits out, or can kits be bought? I want it to look factory-ish.

Just buy a couple of portable DVD players with headrest mounts, at least you know they will work. The old system in the P38 is analogue and would need updating anyway for TV.

on the simi;ar note - what is the best way to upgrade the analogue tv system on an L322?

if its ditch it, what can you replace it with as its the display unit as well?

I think you can get a digital to Analogue front end for it mad, not entirely sure though.

The ebay headrest monitors are quite easy to install if you not scared of getting stuck in
Im in process of doing mine but as a complete separate system with headrest and sun visor monitors with plug in headphones but the audio does run from the radio if I want it to
Its dvd only atm but am planing to fit a tv tuner soon
Only down side it the colour is slightly off!
Not enough to notice straight away but once you notice its obvious

There are loads of in car DVD players on Ebay for not a lot of money. Installing TV would be a bloody nightmare.

The tvs not that bad
I had it in my last car, only thing is to get a good aerial generally the ebay ones are ****e, I ended up paying £50 for one that was on a film (similar to window tint with wires in like a heated windscreen about the size of a handkerchief) and that was very good. Even picked up most stations on the move (not in built up areas though)

It has gone to digital now not as easy to sort out without spending a lot of money. A DVD player and a couple of screens is a lot easier and cheaper. If kids are the problem tie them up and gag them see how long it takes them to get free. Adjust tightness of knots to suit length of trip.

Got to admit I played it myself when waiting for the wife outside asda! dam better than shopping! Right up to when were ready to go thats when I realised id wiped the battery out
