Hello All
I was wondering, I tow a caravan with a 2000 disco TD5, it seems to struggle to get up & go from junctions, traffic lights & stuff. but once the Turbo kicks in (seems to be 2500ish RPM) it's not too bad. my question is can the Turbo be adjusted to come in at a lower RPM ? if so is it a DIY job or will the Disco need an ECU re-map or garage only adjustment.
any help with this would be a real help

There is a very good fred on here some were adout ajusting stuff on your injection pump wot makes them pull alot better
Have a mooch about

A remap can give you a bit more power low down as said above, if you really want some low end kick (thought I wouldn't have thought it necessary with a TD5) you could get a very costly hybrid turbo. But if it was me, I'd buy a plug in power chip or have a remap, buy a high flow air filter and a straight through mid pipe exhaust section to remove one of the silencers. Together those things should give you the bit of power you need.

Ignore Me I thought you were on about the old engie,
As above do some mods so it can breath easy and a remap

Cleaning the MAP sensor can often make a big difference. I can always tell when mine is getting gunked up due to sluggishness
