Ive just fitted a new turbo to my 200tdi discovery engine fitted in a defender and was wondering what the best Gauge was i could go for ive seen a few TIM turbo gauges which look quite well and follow the styling of the defenders dash? are they any good? And how is one fitted? Cheers:)

they are easy to fit , just fit a t piece in the boost line that runs to the pump .
i fitted one to a 130 300tdi , the main thing is you need to select a guage with a range that makes it easily readable mine was in psi cant remember the make top was about 40 IIRC HTSH

ere buster, mine is tapped into the thick black line going over the the pump, that looks like it between the tubby and the actuator??

Ah think it's the same pipe yer on about Raz, the clear(ish) pipe goes back into the cab where the gauge was fitted

yer i know that bit, but what you tapped off right.........is the pipe only a few inches long or does it go right over the other side of the engine bay? to the pump?

mine is tapped into the black pipe that goes from the turbo right across the front of the engine to the other side, its a hard thinplastic pipe, the one you have used is the one i was going to tap into origionally untill i got told different, if am wrong this could solve alot of hassle i have been having.

Here's another couple of pics Raz. First one taken from top, ye might just make oot the clear pipe runnin' back along the engine...

my tubby is spinning and sucking and blowing like it should and the disoc is pulling like a train yet it reads no boost so i wanna double check am on the right pipe.
