I would say so. It's designed for fuel so putting air through it will be fine and the pressure is pretty low 0.6 - 1.2 Bar depending if been messed with.
I've just done mine with some fuel pipe and it seems to work fine ( I think! ). You'll need at least 6" of pipe to prevent it kinking, as the proper part is shaped.
On some manifolds there is already a drilled hole on the back edge (facing bulkhead). Those that are not drilled have a thickened section suitable for drilling.
15/32 if my mind serves me correctly, it's a fairly standard pipe fitting size so you can get a 15/32 to hose barb easily enough - if that is indeed the size!
I ordered a male 1/8 bsp right angle barb for the manifold, I'll drill and tap the plug to suit. For the turbo I ordered just a straight male 1/8 bsp barb to replace the existing double connection. And 2m of 6mm id vac pipe for £7
