Hi folks ,been contacted by someone trying to buy my listed vehicle...wants to buy it Unseen. And wants a courier ti collect it.Says to invoice him via paypal .alarm bells are ringing .any advice? any scams fitting this M.O? Is paypal safe or is he just trying to get the location of vehicle?

It could be dodgy but then it might not be.
However invoicing him and arranging a courier to your address would mean he would have your location and that courier could be a few pikeys in a flat loader...

It’s perculiar that he doesn’t even want to take a look. I’d say cash on collection or he sends you the funds through on PayPal and once you’ve confirmed them in your bank then you can write him a receipt and only then arrange couriers.

Yeh cheers i think hes after the location...i layed out best practice to him gave my number and have heard nothing back.wherever you are in the country its always cheaper to collect in person and drive home than pay hundreds of pounds to have it collected.thnx

Might have hacked into somebody else's PayPal account?
He didnt even ask my name...i feel violated! I told him it was better for him and me to meet in person .left my number...he hasnt called he hasnt texted.I think he was only interested in me for my landy(lol)

Its not your location he wants to steal your car. Its as above , a well known scam. Pays via paypal, collects the car then tells paypal he did not get the car and they refund the money from your account.
