Hello,
So I've just bought a defender 90 truck cab from 1992. I have heard a few things about the rear window rattling, and mine rattles like mad. I've fitted big bucket seats so can't even get to the catch to open the windows, so I was wondering if anyone had replaced the sliding windows with one full piece that cannot be opened. I think this is what I want to do, as I don't think I'll use the windows, and it solves a problem that might end up coming back over time, and also increases security ( less ways to get in) and also stops any water ingress. Anyway, any advice will be welcome and anyone who can point me in the direction of somewhere I can buy the glass/ full unit then they get extra points. :) thanks in advance!

Sounds sensible to me! Mine was the same, but replaced the felt strip and it rattles no more!

Was it an easy job replacing just the felt? I've bought some (as I was quoted 300 nicker for a single piece of glass ) and will be fitting the new strips This weekend. Do you need to drill out Rivetts and the such or can it be done in situ?
