After Epic Head Gasket change car is using a lot of fuel overheating slightly and spluttering slightly as I pull away from stand still , I suspect mixture needs adjusting , does it sound as if its too rich or too lean?
I assuming that too rich mix would cause overheating and high fuel consumption , would this also cause slight hesitation when pulling away?

Rich will cause high consumption and very black plugs.
Lean can cause overheating and poor response to throttle openings.
Best to try a lamda probe or look at the plugs because both too lean and too rich will cause poor running.
(On balance though, it sounds too rich at the moment)
