Hi Guys,

To those of you familiar with the flintshire area, you may know of a place called the cob, (Condy's) its not a off road area as such but its used regular from motorbikes to off roaders.

well, I thought id try my disco down there today, whilst there i was stopped by a Ranger. yes a ranger ?!?. he took great joy in telling me that anyone found on the Marsh can be fined a penalty of 5000. The bloke got out of a flintshire council land rover dressed to the hilt. He explained that the old tip that is owned by veolia, (onyx) will also be out of bounds.

He told me that the area is now under conservation, and made it clear that if you are seen on the marsh and reported the old bill will soon be there. He also said signs will be going up to warn the people who go there to play.

Looks like we will all have to head for the old quarry in brynford !!!

It really fooks me off !!!! cant do fook all these says without some bell telling you it's wrong !!!!

Anyway thought id let you guys know.

There's LOADS you can do without people telling you it's wrong, fortunately for us driving round trashing a conservation zone ain't one of em! (speshly if there's a dedicated pay n play not far away!)

Might be sensible for a mod to delete this fred before it gets quoted somewhere coz this site really don't need "press" like this, if you just read it and plan to quote it somewhere then please note it DON'T represent the majority of us!

On the contrary. I think it is better left because it actually shows the majority are responsible and that one bad egg is being told so in no uncertain terms. Anybody else reading this thread will hopefully also be put off from driving irresponsibly.
 
My apologies, the area has always been used for many years, it has only now gone under conservation, thought i may warn one or two of you that know it.

its quite a large area of rough ground which has always been known for quads motorbikes etc, for those of you having a dig, shut up, i dont go down there ragging around at all, and im not the kind of person who would want to ruin anything for anyone. the land was good for gentle climbs and decents etc, im not the one putting rutts everywhere!!!

Thought i would make some of you aware of the dangers on this land. sorry if i have upset you terribly good law abiding folk !!!
 
For as long as i can remember kids on their bmx's and first motorbikes learnt to ride on this now protected area, its not common knowledge at the moment and there are no signs to warn of the risks. i merely posted this thread to make sure the people that know of it are aware of the changes. for those of you that have ever been there you may also know the greenfield area which is soon to recieve a grant from the welsh assembly to try and create an area for such activities.

Once again im not the one responsible for the damage. theres driving offroad and driving like a tit. please dont confuse me with the latter.
 
I know where Dale is coming from but its down to the individual to have a bit of common sence and not get us all a bad name. Its pretty much the same around the valleys where i live,theres loads of open ground where the coal mines have been leveled and the land left derelict.These areas can make good offroad bike tracks and sometimes 4x4's use them and there are places that have been used by bikers for as long as i can remember,However over the last year or so authoritys seem to be clamping down more on off road bikes and 4x4's and in some cases vehicles have been siezed.Same go's for forestry commision land,The police offroad motorbike team patrol some areas and are clamping down on off roaders.This is mostly down to the idiots who smash down the fences and cut the barriers off to gain access.There are plenty of ways to enjoying off roading with out causing damage to other peoples land/property.
 
the cob has always been a hotspot for scallies on scramblers and fookin idiots in suzuki jeeps. it has been a conservation area for years and has never been a legal off road site. i have seen police take bikes off pricks riding up and down on there before now. they have recently spent a lot of money putting in a footpath for local people to enjoy the wildlife that the cob is full of. its no good trying to say "im a sensible off roader" when you are going on unauthorised land to ****ing play. and its no good saying "folk have been going there for years" cos that dunt mek it legal. ffs folk have bin murderin women for years and they aint legalised that yet. its a shame he didnt give you a 500 quid fine you prick
 
i have to say who the hell do you all think you are i am ashamed to be a part of this group your are nothing more than a bunch of school boy bullys swearing and calling names so ok i know the guy did wrong but your shamefull bullying is just as bad good job hanging was outlawed otherwise i am sure you lot would have send a linch mob round you should all be ashamed of yourselfs
