I just got my first landy, a 2003 freelander, 6 cil, auto, and I have a lot of questions but these will go one by one. On hill up, I have to push the gas pedal to the max to get the car move at moderate speed. Look like the transmission has a problem. I just wondering if the transmission have any sensor or relay that have relationship with the speed? I don't have any light on the dash board!
Any comments or suggestion are welcome

When you put your foot on the floor it should drop a gear or 2 and rev the enigne higher. Try moving the gear lever to the right and manually change the gears. Pull back once to drop a gear. Push forward to go to the next gear. When on a a hill drop one gear to see what it's like.
