Hi all I'm new to this forum. I have recently bought a range rover p38 4.6 hse with gas conversion and the head gasket went whilst driving it home. So whilst replacing the gaskets my other half decided to play with the electric seat, driver side so I replaced the fuse that had blown. Or so I thought. Fixed car went to take on a test drive only to find it suck I'm transfer neutral. Anyone else having this problem take out the fuse in slot 11 which should be top closest to the front of vehicle. Took mine out and bobs ur uncle I can drive it again. Just now to sort out why it still gettin very hot still. Got an idea its either water pump and or thermostat. I will hopefully sort it out.

Can I guess this fuse is in position 11 under the seat - if it is remove it....the P38 transfer box can be put into neutral by placing a fuse in this location for towing the vehicle on all 4 wheels without damage to the gearbox...

remove fuse 11 and try again :D

EDIT: Just re-read your post.....

If it constantly overheats roll up a newspaper and place it in the fan while the engine is up to temp. If it stops your fan has failed, if it shreds the paper then you've ruled out a common problem.
