Hi I have swapped the transfer box on my 110 TD5 for one from a discovery and it is now much more comfortable on the long runs, but on the old box was a lumpy weight on the back off to one side, this did not fit onto the discovery box and is it required,

Do you find first gear too high now, or is it ok? and what size tyres are you running? Just wondering...:)

Did the same swap on my 90. Lumpy bit went in the bin (I imagine it's damping/counter weight) no probs since.
First gear is fine, I'm on 235/85-16's, Grabber At. Though I've not done any towing, I couldn't say how it is with a big load on.
