just tradin in my m reg disco with 6 months mot and got 3 k for it do u think its a good price ??????

It all depends on the model, condition and mileage, i would like to get that for my 3.5 V8i '92 (K reg) but i dont think i would, it is not even in the dealers listing book. :)

i nearly traded mine for a audi a6 was offered 3500 for p reg tdis in good nik i will keep it not willing to lose 5500 in two years

guess what i didnt buy the a6 long live my disco

Sounds pretty good to me! I paid £3800 for my '96 Tdi XS last January from a car dealer. Mind you, I haven't seen another one that cheap since.

its an excellent price. but it dont mean jackshyte unless we know what you bought agin it.

ie.
if it was for a new vehicle at full list price then it wasnt a good deal.

Totally agree

It's how much cash you part with plus your Disco that's important.
Dealers can always drop around £1000 off the advertised price of any car on their pitch and still show a profit; this in turn means they can knock the same off what your trade in stands them at.

Hope you got a good deal though and are happy with your new vehicle.

Forgot to say there's also a VAT saving for a dealer by reducing the price of the car and the trade in. Can't remember exactly how it works but it's to do with how much profit is shown on paper at least on the car they sell you.
