I had the oportunity to drive a 90 TD5 fitted with traction control yesterday and it seemed to cause more problems than it solved. When going up a fairly slight incline on mud the engine kept stalling and consequently failed to get up the hill despite having mud terrain tyres fitted. We then tried it in mine (also a 90 TD5 but without traction control & all terain tyres) there was obviously more wheel spin but it did make it up and the engine didn't stall.
Just wondering if anybody else has had similar experiences.
