hello
just been out in my 1995 p38 4.6 and picked up a trailer got on motorway traction control fault came on then abs fault but could not pull over because of roadworks then lost all power. we got car recovered home but left ignition on so battery whent flat ,put a jump pack on it started abs light is still on and reading airbag fault and alternator fault any help wil be much appreciated

Sounds like you may have a duff battery and or alternator .Do a search on here as it's well covered.The messages you are getting on the dash are indicative of one of these being at fault.Also check all battery and earth connections.

Yep, alternator failed or a bad connection would be my guess.

I had similar some years back and it was battery connection cable corroded internally replaced and all well but I had just put new battery on and rebuilt alt

just got round to checking alternator and as you said it has failed so new one on the way also replacing brakelight switch aswell just to be sure thanks to everybody and does anyone no how to turn off the srs airbag warning message many thanks iano61
