One of the Disco 2s I'm going to look at doesn't have a tow bar fitted, so I would be looking to fit one.

It would be used for towing my boat (a small RIB), occasional towing of my tractor (a small grey fergie) and also for the mountinmg of a bike rack.

Are there many variations in towbar type available for the Disco 2, and do they vary much in price? - Just so I can add it in to my purchasing calculations.

Here is the genuine article, new. There will be many pattern new ones available, which will tend to be cheaper. Also many second hand, maybe on ebay, or for sale by lz members. Choice is yours. Personally, I would probably get a second hand frame, but splash out on a new ball for it. They are safety critical, and ball wear is not that easy to spot.

I have a nearly new adjustable Dixon bate genuine Land Rover item for the Discovery 2 with air suspension if you want one

If you buy second hand, then I would suggest that you purchase a full set of new bolts of the correct grade high tensile steel.

got a genuine land rover one here in coalville yours free but you will have to fetch it.
