Hi Guys

What's it cost to have a tow bar fitted with twin electrics?

Is it a job for me or should it be left to a 'proper' fitter??

Ta muchly

wheres ya live? - mine only has single electrics - but its dead easy to do.

I'm a Yorkshire bloke....so some ways off from you.

I rang main stealer to see how much (just for a laugh really) they quoted just short of £700!!!!!!!!!

Rang a couple of other fitters, could have a fixed one for £190 or a genuine LR detachable one for £250.

That's more like the price I was thinking.

Do people actually have things done at a dealers??

Really easy to do - simple case of bolting it to vehicle.

The electrics plug into the RHS of the vehicle - just remove a rubber bung.

I was lucky - mine came fitted with a towbar. I just had to renew the electrics as they had bad water ingress. I also fitted caravan supplementary electrics at the same time.

Not planning on buying / towing a caravan, but useful for powering camping accessories.

Regards,

Steve.
