Thought that might catch your eye!
OK I use a HTC TYTN II smartphone with integrated gps and TOMTOM sat nav. I am fitting a tracking device to locate stolen vehicles via sms which you simply put into mapping software, find your stolen car and get out the big bat right?
Well, when you put in a set of coords (like the techie speak?) that are not actually on a road TOMTOM has a heart attack and just points in the general direction of the lat and lon that you entered.
Not a lot of good with the amount of terrain out here between roads in Spain!
It might as well be pointing out to sea!
Apart from going to a PC and using Google earth is there any third party software I can use to add on to the phone or perhaps add onto the TOMTOM?
TIA
regards
Dave
