Are these blocks redeemable in any way?

2004 Discos with blown engines can be had ridiculously cheap these days.

(Edit: Price for engine is actually over £5000 shipped.)

Anyone have experience with these engines?

If it's a cracked block the liners can be removed the block welded and then top hats fitted. I think turners liners cure it because they deal the bottom of the liner with an o-ring and the top is seal as the flanges are interference fit but I may be wrong on that.
