Hi, newbie to the forum here, so...er.....hello!
I've just bought a '95 rangie after a brief dalliance with a Grand Cherokee and a longer relationship with a Hilux Surf.
Here's my problem. The guy who I got the car from was a thoroughly nice bloke but probably a bit of a muppet too.
The first issue I have is that the air filter housing appears to have come from a Landie or even a Disco; a big black steel affair about 9" in diameter and about 18" long. It was just sat in the engine bay. I've sourced what I believe to be the right filter housing and mounted it.
The original monstrosity had the airflow meter housing mounted between it and the inlet, complete with a flying lead that connected to the airflow housing. There was also a second lead that went to what looks like another airflow sensor. This was positioned in a hole drilled in the air intake of the original steel affair.
Having installed the new housing, the airflow housing gets its' flying lead connected again but I can't see a location for the second sensor to go.
Any ideas? I've attached a couple of pics below. Thanks
