Never used maxxis but the best all terrain is these and the alloys fit a D2.

It’s the price of those that put me off. 5 of them is a HUGE investment.

Yes i fitted Maxis 771s to my old D1. They were great on the road and pretty capable in snow. No idea in mud. I had them on a Rav 4 also, no problems.
BFG ATs are great yes, but mega money.
