Hi guys
I mite be barking up the wrong tree here but i am having bad mpg problems with only 18 mpg ( 1988 90 2.5TD / defender 200TDI ) ok the 90 is fitted with 265 special track tyres, pump has been tweaked, and i have a strait through exhaust fitted but would have thought i would still get into the low-mid 20's even with this lot on.
i have only had the car since February this year and a few months ago i replaced the timing belt aswell as give it a good service but when i was changing the timing belt i noticed that both the cam and fuel pump sprocket's was 300TDI sprocket's so what i want to know is do the defender 200TDI a 300TDI sprockets all have the same number of teeth, the engine seams to run ok but this has always stuck in my mind or am i worrying about nothing as reguards the sprockets
