Hi all

After nearly four years of owning a TD4 on an X plate (with 78k on the clock) and my fair share of 'incidents' its time to sell the old girl and move on.

Rather than a post about selling the car (PM if you're interested :D) I just wanted to say thanks to those members who have posted on here and shared their problems and advised me as best they can - and to those who suggested a gallon of unleaded and a match :p !!!

I've enjoyed my LR ownership and - one clutch, 3 abs sensors, 1 steering rack, front calipers later am looking forward to having a rest - no really it has been a good experience - its getting old and what else would you expect apart from wear and tear? Its always started - always!!!

Yes its not the best vehicle in the world - no will it ever be - but i enjoyed my time. Off to join an Audi forum now.....

Regards

I sold my MB to buy my Freelander, one of my better decisions in my opinion, also left three MB forums (including the subscription one) to join various LR forums. Good luck with your Audi, the ones I owned were all good motors.

good luck with the audi (audi-sport.net is a great one)
watch out for... 1.8t oil sludge and coil packs, 1.9/2.0 tdi dmf/clutch ANY multironic auto box (DO NOT BUY ONE!) and the infamous ABS pump issue on any VW/Audi since 2001 which VAG are fully aware of and refuse to do anything about and will cost over 1k to replace!

enjoy!

That's exactly the same as what I did back in 2000 (went from a 190E 2.0l to a Td4, new car delivered january 9th 2001) and is exactly the same idea I have re the kind of decision this was.;):)
