Hi folks,

My old Freelander 1 (2002, V6 ES) has finally died having suffered major HGF and seeing as the auto box needs the 3rd to 4th change sorting out (bangs in when cold) I'm giving up on it.

So my question to you good folk is: what are your views on Freelander 2's I'm looking to buy a 2008-2009 Diesel auto and would appreciate any views, or hearing any comments and experiences from anyone regarding buying and running the newer model.

Just spent an hour or so reading previous post about issues some have had with this model, should I be concerned ? I.m going to look at a 59 plate with 60, 000 miles on it today?

Well, not going for that one, rear diff whining it's head off at normal road speeds on test drive :5bbeatdeadhorse5:, shame it was a nice car as well.
