Anyone got any tips for tight Nuts on the starter motor?
I need to check the solenoid but can't get the thing out.

Most starters have a nut thats a toss to get to normally the top inner one, I just use a socket and a few extensions to get just the right length, then a decent ratchet to crack it off, when refitting it push the nut into the socket with some bog roll, the paper will make the nut a tight fit so it does not drop out when struggling to get the sod to line up.

Tried a long socket and as much leverage as possible. I think I need some kind of solvent to loosen up 20 years of grime around them.
