I know whats its like to be shafted now. That time of year for Dick Turpin and other highwaymen to use confused meercats to be the front for so called good insurance deals just because mines up for renewal

Just spent the afternoon on tinternet looking for some reasonably priced car insurance and boy do the prices vary.

I am 48, I have got a Standard 97 Disco, no mods, full no claims, 3points, D rated post code.

What amazed me was Churchill quoted £753, The Elephant next at £751, but elsewhere came in at £497, Admiral want £748. I got 3 different prices from Flux £340, £360 and over £400. Sureterm where consistent at £400. Lancaster and Footman James couldnt give me a quote on line.

Oh the joys of motoring. If this is one of the trials an tribulations of owing a landy, it sure tries to deny you any pleasure you get out of driving one. That and the price of diesel.

Right. I've had my moan, I'm going for some tea.

try , GOTT AND WYNNE , in Llandudno north Wales . find them on tintersnet . my rrc 5.0 tvr engine agreed value £5000.00 , £249.00 p/a . good I thought .

What!?!?!?!

Not a coffee?

Elephant, Admiral, Bell & Diamond are all the same company but they will bid against each other on line. It just makes life a little easier as they use the same on-line form, just with a different background colour. Use the quote from one as the best that you've received so far, and so on. I had great fun dropping it by about £50 each time and then phoned them and got my renewal down from over £1100 to just over £700 for all our vehicles.

Lancaster give me a qoute online for £3518 for a '99 Freelander, then the cheeky barstewards rang me up and said they could do it cheaper at £552.

I'll stick with me renewal this year, although i've never had to do that before

You posted that the other day, that's why i thought i'd give Lancasters a try.

It just doesn't make sense

They must just think of a number double it then multiply by how many seats your cars got :(
