I'm new to this whole forum thing and this is also my first Land rover and in what appears to be true Land rover fashion it's got a problem. Had a quick look through the forums but can’t seem to find a problem quite like mine, may just be looking in the wrong place. It’s a 2000 TD5 2.5 automatic and the problem is only when the engine is cold. Basically when I start the car from cold it will only rev in P or N, once I have sat there for 3 or 4 minutes it will drive fine feels slightly sluggish but drives. Also when cold if I rev the engine then put it in D or R whilst revs are higher it drives just won’t pick up from low revs. Once it has started to drive if I put the AC on it acts like it does when it is first started and doesn't rev in D or R, turn A/C off and it's fine again. When the car has got to temperature it runs fine.
Any ideas on what this could be would massively appreciated
Thanks in advance
Giles

That went well Giles.

Not a clue about your question, but from my meagre experience on here:-

Post an intro in the Intro section - many get terribly uppity if you don't, with references from your bank, and a note from your Mum......

Then think about going to the Disco section rather than just the TD5 engine section as might be a wider issue than the engine...?

Just an idea - good luck, A
