Cable? as far I'm aware S3 never had a throttle cable

between the pedal linkage and the DISTRIBUTOR PUMP? wat the hell is one of them?
and it hold the throttle open then disconnects the pedal! so ya pedal aint connected to the throttle?
the std S3 has a lever system to the carbytooter.
is that on the disty then?

As it be a diesel it has a high pressue pump that feeds the the injectors, (no carbratooter) this fits in the hole that would be taken up by the dizzy on the petrol variant of the block, anywho between the throttle arm on this and the throttle linkage on the bulk head there is a cable as i said before its aboot 10" long i will get a photo of it if this would help

mine actually has a cable - coz its a 2.5petrol - but there are loads of levers layin around the engine bay
yu cud try halfrauds - maybe a bike cable wud work?
