Hi guys
I had the notorious three amigos a couple of years back (ABS, Traction control and Hill decsent warning lights), which would come on at random and could usually be shut off by restarting the engine. The computer say '134 shuttle relay electrical fault' and on the garage's advice we replaced the ABS modulator (a remanufactured one - I'm not made of money).
All was OK for a couple of years now my 'friends' are back. Same computer fault code and I don't fancy paying another £250 for just two years peace of mind!
I have seen on various forums the recommendation to by-pass the circuit board by connecting the wires from the SVS direct to the incoming green/black feed and to earth. It seems to be popular practice in 'the colonies' where main stealers are long distances away.
Does anyone have any experience of doing this? Does it work? Does the modulator continue to do what it should do? If so why do WABCO include the circuit board?
HELP:confused:
