Hi All,

Just bought a 1984 SWB diesel off ebay.....

She has lots of holes and bits falling off but the engine is sweet (even thought she smokes heavily on aceleration!)

3 of us are planning on a trip down to spain and back in August. Will be spending most of our time in the Pyrinees so the next few weeks are all about preparing the vehicle for an expedition!
So....
If any of you have any advice or help it would be gladly recieved. I'll put some photo's up as I take them so you'll all get to see her tranform into the workhorse she deserves to be!

So far I'm replacing the brake cylinders, shoes, lines all round. Leaf springs on the front and shocks all round. Footwells, engine mounts, exhaust, fuel, oil, temp sender units,

The Kenlow was shot to pieces so will probably replace with origional fan that connects to the pulley (its only a diesel after all) Unless someone out there thinks otherwise?

She has oversize wheels and tyres (cant remember the size)

So. any advice would be great

Cheers

:D :D :D Hy Giles,
Welcome to the Landyzone. Excellent project, You seem to be right on top of the game, only advice, K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) Love the idea of re-placing the origional fan assy. Keep us posted mate, and all the very best.
Cruisermik.
P.S. Be great to have a report in the Expeditions section of the forum.
