Hi all I am thinking of treating myself to another RRS. I have had a 2.7 tdv6 that blew its turbo on me and swore I would never buy another!! However, they still really look the shiz!!

I am hoping that I can find a grey HST with black leather for 20-25k.

Can anyone tell me/reassure me that the 3.6 Tdv8 is more reliable than the 2.7 Tdv6?

Anything I should be aware of when looking to buy would be appreciated.

Mike

3.6 will be more fun

Wouldn't buy a sport due to the fact they are not DIY friendly :)

Test out 4.4 tdv8 vogue you light just change your time ;)

You serious:confused: Why would it be more reliable, it's a Land Rover product:eek:
The only more it wil be is more expensive to repair;)
The electric hand brakes are fun.

So am a better off staying clear???? :(

if you want reliable then yes, stay away....

they are money pits and will drain your bank balance rapidly if they go wrong, if you cant handle that a Green Oval isn't for you!

The 2.7 and the 3.6 share similar problems eg. Egr valves, turbos, hand brake modules, suspension bushes, arc bars leaking etc

Its a land rover product its bound to go wrong, its not a thing of it wont go wrong, it just when and how frequent its want to.

Any car will cost you money at some point. Don't drive if your worried about costs.

If not, quit moaning, buy your range and enjoy :)

That is so untrue, my Volvo 960, Pajero & Hyundai Galloper never cost me a penny apart from routine sevicing. The Volvo was very high mileage.:p
