Driving home today, the last day before our Hols and the Landy engine swap....

She was going well, too well, even overtook a car!!!:D

Just turned into our road and the temp started to climb, sitting on the drive ticking over it continued to climb, rad felt normal, so my guess is she has blown a head gasket, near the temp sender by No 4 cyl, will have a quick look tomoz...

Ah well, got a 2.8 turbo to put in, even I cant blow that up.....can I.

You would think so....

But already have to 2.8 TD sitting ready, and the 2.5 was a little tired..

So might as well swap engines, do the footwells, repaint etc all at the same time..

why do landy's go better just before they die??? mine did that as well...

i'm also still doing the "i'll just pop this different engine in instead of fixing the old one" routine, amoungst other things :D
